Start date: ASAP
Salary: Negotiable
We have up to two openings for a trainee account executive. We are more interested in aptitude and potential, than how many A*s you have. If you are not that interested in business or how the media works, please don’t apply. We are looking for candidates who want to do well and are naturally collaborative. The ability to think critically is valued, the ability to find imaginative solutions even more so. You must be organised and really care about attention to detail. Really care. We are a relatively small team, which means that EQ is as important as IQ. Having said all this, we are wary of group think and welcome candidates from all classes, races, genders, creeds, and opinions – with the usual disclaimers regarding the latter. The roles would be for an initial period of six months, with the potential to be made permanent. If you hadn’t thought about a career in financial and corporate PR up until now, that’s OK. If it hasn’t crossed your mind by now to look at our website, this is not the role for you.
TB Cardew is an independent financial and corporate PR consultancy which offers a range of corporate and financial communication services to its clients, which include FTSE businesses and prominent, growing businesses across a variety of sectors. Our services encompass day-to-day management of relations with the business and financial media and sell-side analysts, through to high profile and complex communications around transformational transactions such as IPOs and mergers. In all of these activities, and in everything we do, the management of our clients’ reputation is central to our work.
We would like candidates to have the following – but remember that potential will trump experience so don’t be put off if not all of these apply to you:
The role will involve supporting the TB Cardew team in London, and will give trainees exposure to how a strategic communications agency operates, and a grounding in the skills required of an account executive, including:
If you believe you fit the requirements and would like to be considered for the role, please send your CV and six bullets on ‘why I am best placed to be a trainee’ to julie.payne@tbcardew.com.com. We should receive this before 15th January 2021.
