Managing Partner
Tom is a Managing Partner at TB Cardew and brings over 26 years of financial and corporate PR experience. Tom works across multiple sectors, advising clients on all aspects of corporate communication from fund raising to IPO, M&A, crisis management, financial calendar work and profile management. Prior to TB Cardew, he was a founder partner of Temple Bar Advisory, and before this he held senior positions at The Company Agency, and Instinctif (then College Hill), where he was a partner and MD of its South African business. Tom co-led the acquisition of Cardew Group.
Managing Partner
Ed is a Managing Partner at TB Cardew with over 24 years’ experience in communications, having previously been a journalist principally for Bloomberg and the Financial Times. He advises clients on all aspects of financial and corporate communications, with particular expertise around transaction communication for M&A, fund raising and reputation management.
Prior to the creation of TB Cardew in January 2018, Ed held senior roles in various communications agencies, originally at Finsbury, and most recently at Temple Bar Advisory. He co-led the acquisition of Cardew Group and the subsequent formation of TB Cardew.
Director
Tania has worked in the financial services industry, both in-house and agency-based, for more than 20 years, starting her career as an equity analyst before advising listed companies on their stock exchange communications and investor and media relations.
Her client experience includes private equity, asset management, insolvency practitioners, banking, law, management consulting, stock exchanges and property. More recently, she has been leading our investment companies practice as well as advising financial services companies on their broader profile raising and corporate communications. Tania speaks fluent French.
Director
Shan has extensive experience in cross-border M&A transactions and IPOs. Prior to joining the company, she worked in the M&A team at the Japanese investment bank Daiwa Securities SMBC and Crosby Financial, specialising in corporate finance transactions. Shan has advised numerous IPOs as well as large scale M&A across several sectors including real estate, life sciences, retail, consumer and technology. Shan is a member of the Chartered Securities & Investment Institute.
Associate Director
Alycia works across a number of private and publicly listed clients, managing and executing financial PR and IR programmes. She has experience in a range of sectors, including financial services, transport, retail & consumer, leisure, and real estate. Alycia was previously Account Manager at Temple Bar Advisory, and prior to this she worked in SABMiller’s in-house comms team and the research department of Deutsche Bank.
Senior Consultant
Nadja combines impressive experience of both corporate and financial communications to advise a range of private and publicly listed clients on issues and crisis management. She has advised leading brands such as Bernard Matthews, BMI and Thorntons plc. Nadja, a native German speaker who is also fluent in French, started her career in communications as a consultant with the UN, following a degree in International Relations at the University of Geneva, and joined the Company in 1998.
Associate Director
Henry joined TB Cardew in 2021. He works across a variety of sectors, including public and private companies. In 2020 Henry graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class degree in English Literature and briefly worked as a ghostwriter before joining TB Cardew. Henry is a keen sportsman and played England Schoolboys rugby.
Director of Finance and Operations
Steve is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with Moore Stephens in 2001. He has over twenty years’ experience running accounting and finance departments in a variety of owner managed businesses. Steve deals with all aspects of finance, operations, contractual and legal work.
Director
Olivia leads corporate and financial PR programmes for both private and publicly listed clients in a variety of sectors. Her current clients include retail, asset management and private equity clients. Olivia originally trained as an accountant at BDO where she worked with a collection of AIM and FTSE 250 clients in multiple sectors, and prior to this she worked for Deloitte in a consulting role.

Consultant
Alistair joined TB Cardew in 2021. He works across a variety of clients, including public and private companies on both media relations and public affairs. He has experience in current affairs and campaigning having spent a year working as a researcher for a newly elected Member of Parliament and has worked with think-tanks, political organisations and campaign consultancies. In 2019 Alistair graduated from the University of Bristol with first-class honours in Ancient History.
Associate
Jessica joined TB Cardew in July 2023 as an Associate, having previously worked for Consilium Strategic Communications. Jessica works across a range of clients including retail, fintech, property and transport, she has in-depth experience with private and listed healthcare companies. Jessica has strong expertise in social media and purpose driven content creation. Jessica graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first-class degree in Sociology in 2021.
Head of Human Resources
Hannah has worked in HR and recruitment since 2011, most recently as Senior HR Associate with Barings, an international Financial Services company where she managed the whole employee lifecycle, from recruitment onwards, including training and development, and annual reviews; and had responsibility for developing and maintaining policies and procedures. Hannah is a history graduate and is CIPD qualified.
Head of Public Affairs
Will leads TB Cardew’s public affairs practice. He has over 25 years public affairs, political, and campaign expertise gained in-house with Alstom and British Airways; in Government with the Cabinet Office; and in consultancy where he led Finsbury’s public affairs practice for a decade.
Associate Director
Emma Pascoe-Watson joins the team from 10 Downing Street, where she was a Special Adviser to the Prime Minister. During her time at Number 10, Emma led on coordinating broadcast opportunities for Government ministers, political briefings with ministers for media appearances and media handling for Government announcements. During this time, she also worked closely with the Director of Communications and the Prime Minister’s speech writer to determine political narrative and government messaging. Prior to this role, she worked in the Hanover Communications Healthcare team, implementing proactive communications campaigns for pharmaceutical clients and working with policy colleagues to formulate communications plans in response to government announcements. Emma works with a variety of clients across both communications and public affairs.
Head of Financial Services
Will Baldwin-Charles has worked in communications for more than 20 years in London, Johannesburg and Hong Kong. Prior to joining TB Cardew, he was Director of External and Internal Communications for TP ICAP plc, a leading financial markets infrastructure company. He spent eight years as Head of Corporate Affairs for Old Mutual plc, a FTSE-100 financial services company, where he looked after all external communications across Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
He has held senior communications roles at Prudential plc and Tate & Lyle plc and started his career as a journalist.
Senior Consultant
Archie Berens has worked in finance, capital markets and financial and corporate communications for more than 30 years in London, Hong Kong and the Gulf. During that time, he has advised numerouspublic and private sector organisations on all aspects of their reputation management: profile raising, brand promotion, crisis management, media engagement and content development and transmission across multiple platforms.
He started his career with City law firm Norton Rose, and then worked for two years in investment banking before moving into financial communications in 1996. He spent 6 years at College Hill (now Instinctif), and after 2 years at Investor Communications and Influencer Services, a specialist technology practice, he moved to Pelham Public Relations a year after it was founded. Between 2005 and 2009, Pelham was the UK’s fastest growing financial communications agency and in 2010, it was acquired by Bell Pottinger.
Archie has recently returned from an 8 year stint in Abu Dhabi, where he ran Bell Pottinger’s Middle East operations, helping tosecure its sale to Hanover Communications in 2017. He spent threeyears with Hanover turning the business around, before becoming an in-house adviser with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
Archie holds a degree in Classics from Oxford University and is also a qualified solicitor.

Liam joined TB Cardew in 2022. Liam works across a range of clients including financial institutions, global asset managers and infrastructure investment companies. He is well connected with journalists and commentators in the financial media space, and also has experience in litigation and crisis comms. Liam graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in English and has history in journalism.
Head of Healthcare
Allison has extensive knowledge of the life sciences and healthcare sector, with more than 20 years as a healthcare journalist in the US and Europe, including 10 years at Bloomberg, and in a senior role at Consilium, a healthcare strategic communications firm. Her experience spans numerous drug approvals, clinical trials data readouts, scientific conferences, M&A, venture funding, and regulatory and pricing decisions in the US and Europe. She started covering biotech in Boston/Cambridge, Mass., one of the biggest life sciences hubs in the world.
Executive
Olivia joined TB Cardew as an Executive in 2023. She previously worked for a luxury beauty PR firm where she gained exposure to various consumer discretionary sectors and developed her knowledge of digital and social media strategy. Olivia works across a variety of listed and private clients within the Consumer, Healthcare and Private Capital sectors. Olivia holds an MSc in International Business and Politics and a BA in Human Geography from Queen Mary University of London.
Executive Assistant
Emily joined TB Cardew in October 2023 as an Executive Assistant. She works in the digital team at TB Cardew to produce digital strategies for clients across multiple sectors. Emily holds an MSc in Marketing Management and a BA in Fashion buying with Marketing from De Montfort University.
Head of Digital
Jimmy has worked in digital media and communications across media, government, and agency. He was Head of Digital Communications for two Prime Ministers in Downing Street, and Head of Digital Diplomacy for two Foreign Secretaries at the Foreign Office. In media, he was Executive Editor at The Guardian, responsible for editorial and B2B properties in education and the public sector; was Director for Digital at The Independent, establishing it as a digital product, and was Editor-in-Chief at HuffPost UK. He has worked in consumer comms as Digital Director at Freud Communications and was Senior Associate at Portland. As a freelance consultant he has worked for governments in Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia, for blue chip companies in Europe and the Middle East and a variety of IGOs, including ICANN and the OECD.
